Ο Κ. Ευστάθιος Θεοδώρου, FRCOG, είναι Χειρουργός Γυναικολόγος – Μαιευτήρας, εξειδικευμένος στην Ιατρική Αναπαραγωγής, με πάνω από 20 χρόνια εμπειρία στο Ηνωμένο Βασίλειο.
Η κλινική του πορεία περιλαμβάνει θέσεις ευθύνης στα πιο αναγνωρισμένα κέντρα γονιμότητας της χώρας:
– Αν. Διθεθυντής και Επικεφαλής Έρευνας & Ανάπτυξης (Lead of Research and Development) στο Centre for Reproductive and Genetic Health (CRGH), όπου διετέλεσε και Υπεύθυνος Παρένθετης Μητρότητας.
– Διευθυντής Ιατρικού Τμήματος και Υπεύθυνος για το HFEA στο CARE Fertility London.

Mr Efstathios Theodorou, FRCOG, is a consultant Gynaecologist and Obstetrician specialising in Reproductive Medicine, with over 20 years of experience in the United Kingdom.
His clinical career includes senior roles at some of the country’s most respected fertility centres:
As part of his research, he has collaborated with the Francis Crick Institute on the study of embryo implantation, and with the fertility start-up Genie on non-invasive diagnosis of uterine conditions. He also supervises postgraduate research projects at University College London (UCL).

Common first-line tests include an AMH (ovarian reserve) blood test, a pelvic ultrasound scan, and a review of your cycle and medical history. Further tests, such as a HyCoSy to check the fallopian tubes, or further hormonal tests may be recommended depending on your results.
AMH (Anti-Müllerian Hormone) is a blood test that indicates your ovarian reserve — broadly, how many eggs remain. It’s one part of the picture, not a standalone measure of fertility or chance of pregnancy.
Egg quality generally declines with age, so earlier freezing tends to give a higher number of good-quality eggs. That said, the right time is individual — it depends on your ovarian reserve, personal circumstances, any associated medical conditions or medication you may take and what you’re hoping to achieve.
