Dr Areti Pavlidou Consultant Psychiatrist

I am a Consultant Psychiatrist specialising in Adult and Liaison Psychiatry. I work for the NHS as the Lead Consultant for inpatient and community mental health services and drug & alcohol services in East London. I am also the lead Psychiatrist for Dementech Neurosciences private clinic. I trained in Maudsley hospital and completed her higher specialist training in Adult Psychiatry and Liaison Psychiatry in East London Foundation Trust and Saint Bartholomew’s Hospital. I am a member of the Royal College of Psychiatrists. I have extensive experience in treating all adult mental health problems such as depression, bipolar affective disorder, personality problems, anxiety and OCD, and psychotic illnesses. I have a special interest in the stress-related conditions and mind and body connection and also conditions such as chronic fatigue syndrome and fibromyalgia. As a psychiatrist I take holistic and recovery focussed approach in the assessment and treatment of mental health difficulties. My approach is evidence-based and tailored to individual needs; combining pharmacological therapies with psychological interventions as part of Dementech’s multidisciplinary model. I offer online consultations and second opinion assessments.
