On Sunday, March 29, the Greek solo performance Entropy, featuring Christina Gyftakis, will be presented at The Cockpit at 7:00 PM. The performance is in Greek, with English subtitles, and will be staged for one night only.
Maria Callas, Frida Kahlo, Isadora Duncan: three women, three eras, three lives filled with passion, love, disappointment, and triumph. Together, they form a triangle, with each side representing a different art form. Entropy is not a biographical narrative, but a visual performance that highlights the defining moments that shaped both their artistic and personal identities.
By bringing forward moments from the artists’ lives—echoing timeless social stereotypes—the performance sheds light on how wounded children become trapped in adulthood within predefined behavioral patterns. The stage objects transform in dialogue with the heroines, while the surreal text reveals enduring issues that resonate with our own generation.
