The programme features music by legendary composers such as Nino Rota, Ennio Morricone, John Williams, and Hans Zimmer, alongside other memorable works that, while not originally written for film, have become inseparable from iconic cinematic moments.
The performers will present pieces in a variety of arrangements, from intimate duos and trios to expressive quartets and full ensemble settings, offering a rich and dynamic musical experience. This event is organised by the Athena Scholarship, founded by Mrs. Anna Weeks, and led by guitarist and composer Dimitris Soukaras. The Athena Scholarship has established a tradition of presenting its annual concert at the Hellenic Centre, now in its third consecutive year. The event brings together current scholars and alumni, offering them the opportunity to perform, collaborate, and share their passion for music with a wider audience. This concert reflects the Sscholarship’s mission to nurture young Greek musicians and celebrate their artistic achievements within the inspiring setting of the Hellenic Centre.
