Dr Kalli Nikolaidou: Senior Specialist in Dermatology and General Practitioner

Dr Kalli is a senior specialist in dermatology. She is a member of the British Association of Dermatology and St John’s Dermatological Society. She attained Membership of the Royal Colleges of Physicians of the United Kingdom (MRCP(UK)) in 2015 and a Postgraduate Diploma in Clinical Dermatology from Queen Mary University in London with Merit. She currently holds a senior clinical specialist role in dermatology at the  Royal Free Hospital, and she is a senior clinical supervisor for a well established GP Out of hours service. She is also taking part in clinical trials for new biologic drugs in severe atopic dermatitis. She has received an award for excellence in teaching at her role as a medical educator for the University College London medical school.

Her special interest is acne, psoriasis, rosacea, depigmentation disorders, eczema treatment, dermatological surgery for lumps and bumps/skin cancers, hyperhidrosis, as well as cosmetic skin care. She is passionate about maintaining a patient centred approach, ensuring patients achieve their desired outcomes. Η Δρ. Kalli είναι εξειδικευμένη δερματολόγος και μέλος της British Association of Dermatology και της St John’s Dermatological Society. Απέκτησε τον τίτλο MRCP(UK) το 2015 και ολοκλήρωσε με Merit το Μεταπτυχιακό Δίπλωμα στην Κλινική Δερματολογία στο Queen Mary University of London.

Σήμερα κατέχει θέση στη Δερματολογία στο Royal Free Hospital, ενώ παράλληλα είναι κλινική επιβλέπουσα σε μία από τις πιο καταξιωμένες υπηρεσίες «GP Out of Hours» στο Ηνωμένο Βασίλειο. Συμμετέχει ενεργά σε κλινικές μελέτες για νέους βιολογικούς παράγοντες στη θεραπεία της σοβαρής ατοπικής δερματίτιδας. Έχει επίσης βραβευτεί για την αριστεία της στη διδασκαλία μέσα από τον ρόλο της ως ιατρική εκπαιδεύτρια στο University College London.

Τα επιστημονικά της ενδιαφέροντα περιλαμβάνουν την αντιμετώπιση της ακμής, ψωρίασης, ροδόχρου νόσου, διαταραχών χρωματισμού, εκζέματος, καθώς και δερματολογικές μικροχειρουργικές επεμβάσεις για καλοήθεις βλάβες και καρκινώματα του δέρματος. Ασχολείται επίσης με τη θεραπεία υπεριδρωσίας και με αισθητικές δερματολογικές εφαρμογές. Δίνει ιδιαίτερη έμφαση στην ανθρωποκεντρική προσέγγιση, με στόχο κάθε ασθενής να επιτυγχάνει το καλύτερο δυνατό αποτέλεσμα.
