Online counselling and psychotherapy are ideal for those who experience any kind of difficulty to leave their house, they live in remote areas or they just have a very busy schedule and limited time to fit a session in. Having someone to talk to without the need to waste time on moving can be valuable for many of us. With extensive experience in online therapy, I am here to help you explore difficult and demanding areas in your life and make the changes needed. I have completed my training in Systemic psychotherapy in Athens, Greece and I am registered with the corresponding professional bodies in the UK. I have a BA in Psychology and an MSc in Health Psychology. I have worked in a range of settings including special needs schools, psychiatric clinics, mental health centres, as well as in private practice in Greece. In the UK, I have worked with children with autism in schools and as a mental health mentor at the University of Brighton and Sussex. In my working experience, I have offered support to people with depression and anxiety disorders, eating disorders, relationship and family issues, amongst others. I practice an enriched approach of Systemic Therapy. According to that, a person is viewed as part of a whole system (primarily the family) and during the sessions, tools and ideas from the attachment theory, narrative psychology and recent findings in neurosciences are used along. I offer a secure base for people to explore areas of their lives that have been complicated and work on their relationships with others, as well as themselves. The pace, length and structure of the sessions are designed according to each individual’s needs and there is always place for consideration of special situations and characteristics. Confidentiality and respect to the person is immense part of my practice. I am a graduate member of the British Psychological Society (BPS) and an individual member of the British Association of Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP), and abide by those organisations' ethical standards.
